Post Malone is Spotify's most streamed artist of 2019


With 28 billion streams over the past 10 years, Drake is Spotify's most-streamed artist of the decade, followed by Ed Sheeran, Post Malone, Ariana Grande, and Eminem.

Love-song master Ed Sheeran was the second-most streamed artist of the decade on Spotify.

Ariana Grande came in fourth for the decade.

Global hit machine Sheeran's "Shape of You" won the top spot for most streamed track of the decade with more than 2.3 billion streams, according to the data on more than 248 million worldwide users' listening habits.

The list released included the below mentioned rappers who have been releasing top charting and best selling music.

Other popular tracks this decade were Post Malone's "Rockstar", featuring 21 Savage, followed by "Closer" by The Chainsmokers, featuring Halsey, and Sheeran's "Thinking Out Loud". That includes years like 2016, when he earned the most streamed album (VIEWS) and most streamed song ("One Dance") and 2018, when he smashed records with the release of "God's Plan."

On Tuesday, the Stockholm-based company announced a list of the songs, albums and artists most popular with its listeners over the past year, as well as "A Decade Wrapped": a comprehensive look back at favourites from 2010 through 2019.

Post Malone was 2019's most-streamed artist with more than 6.5 billion, followed by Billie Eilish, whose haunting pop sound saw her win more than 6 billion streams.
