I'm kind of old and boring now: Robert Pattinson


The Batman is scheduled to hit theaters on June 25, 2021. The Matt Reeves film will follow Batman during his formative years as Gotham City's protector and will make use of the Dark Knight's detective skills to a greater extent than previous DC films.

Pattinson will don the cape and cowl in an upcoming film directed by Matt Reeves.

Robert Pattinson has questioned whether Batman is a superhero, claiming that they should have magical powers.

The actor, who will be the next in a long line to take on the iconic comic book hero on the big screen following Ben Affleck's portrayal in "Justice League", spoke with Willie Geist for the "Sunday Sitdown" segment on the "Today" show. 'It's weird, I always balk at it. "You can't say no to it and I really wanted to say yes". He's a complicated character.

The Lighthouse actor, who is a shoo-in for his first Oscar nomination in 2020, shared that he loved the history of Batman as well as every variation of the DC superhero, essayed by all the actors, before him. I give you that one'. Pattinson played the vampire Edward Cullen in the young adult films, which propelled him and Kristen Stewart to global stardom.

He commented: "There's a part of me that just thinks it's impossible to be what happened with 'Twilight" because it was so sudden. I'm hoping it won't be people hanging out outside my place. "I think it's because one of my eyes is smaller than the other", said Pattinson.

Since appearing in the Twilight movies, Pattinson has leaned towards internationally acclaimed filmmakers and smaller, experimental roles.

Joining Pattinson in The Batman will be John Turturro as crime boss Carmine Falcone, Zoe Kravitz as Catwoman, and Paul Dano as Riddler.
