Winter weather coming: After cold weekend, central Pa. could see some snow

It's about to look a lot like Christmas in Northeast Ohio. more than two weeks before Thanksgiving.

A WINTER STORM WATCH is effect for Cuyahoga, Lake, Geauga and Ashtabula counties from Monday afternoon through Wednesday morning.

Chicago is getting ready for the first big winter blast to hit the area Sunday, as overnight snow and falling temperatures could make Monday's commute to work a big mess.

By early Tuesday morning temps will be in the 20s and there is a 100 percent chance of snow.

It will be worse in the snow belt, of course. With snow under foot and steam above, it'll be the kind of day for a hood and a hat as fall fades to wintry weather. The system snow moves out later in the afternoon, about the time the lake-effect snow starts kicking in. Areas to be most impacted will be those under the winter storm warning, but especially Berrien and western Cass Counties in MI. Heavy snow is possible in those areas, with total accumulations of six to nine inches possible.

Otherwise it's very cold with highs struggling to get to 30. Temperatures will climb back into the 40s by Friday and into the upper 40s over the weekend.
