Whitney Houston's Female Best Friend Speaks About Their Secret Romance


She told People: 'I'd come to the point where I felt the need to stand up for our friendship.

Whitney Houston's best friend and confidant Robyn Crawford has already surprised many fans by claiming in her new memoir A Song For You: My Life With Whitney Houston that she had a physical relationship with the legendary singer.

"And then all of a sudden, we were face to face".

"Whitney told me her mother said it wasn't natural for two women to be that close, but we were that close...."

"I would have answered any thoughts she experienced, and I would have just listened", reported Robyn. "Whitney was a lovely friend, the friend that I prayed for".

"She said we shouldn't be physical anymore, because it would make our journey even more hard", Crawford says in the new book, adding that Houston gifted her with a Bible when she told her she was breaking off the physical side of their relationship.

Right after Whitney passed away at the age of 48 in 2012, Robyn attempted to get her mobile phone selection to Bobbi Kristina through mutual buddies. With her new memoir, A Song for You: My Life with Whitney Houston, set to hit bookshelves on Tuesday, Crawford told Melvin she made a decision to come forward with the intimate details of the women's relationship because she believed it's what Houston would have wanted.

Crawford and Houston's friendship dissipated by the time of her death.

Crawford says the public perception that Houston's ex-husband, Bobby Brown, introduced her to drugs is false.

A blossoming relationship was ill-fated, with Houston putting a stop to their physical intimacy around the time she signed with Clive Davis at Arista Records in 1982.

Crawford said: 'I never envisioned speaking publicly about my life and then I asked myself the question, "What would Whitney want?"'

Rumors have swirled for years that Grammy-winning singer Whitney Houston was in a romantic relationship with her best friend. And that evening was the night that we touched. "That was all she wanted, always, was her mother and now she was gone".

Robyn included, "I believe that that Whitney informed her daughter about the appreciate and the treatment and the bond and the have confidence in that we experienced".

'I just felt that I wouldn't be losing much. "I would hope that they had the mother-daughter conversation".

"I desired to elevate her legacy, give her respect and share the tale of who she was just before the fame, and in that, to embrace our friendship." she spelled out.
