Andy Carter, senior winners' adviser at the National Lottery, said: "One incredibly lucky ticket-holder has scooped tonight's enormous £170m Euromillions jackpot".

It took a record-breaking run of 18 rollovers, when nobody wins the top prize, to push the jackpot up to its maximum amount, and it then went another four draws before finally being won.

The EuroMillions jackpot prize of €190m has been won by a United Kingdom ticket holder, while one lucky player in Dublin is €500,000 richer after matching all five numbers in the Plus draw.

Tuesday's Euromillions draw has seen a ticket purchased in the United Kingdom become the victor of a massive £169 million jackpot.

It with a possibility of multiple millionaires across the entire EuroMillions community.

"If the jackpot is won, it could make the UK's biggest ever victor".

However, because the EuroMillions jackpot has reached its cap of €190m, smaller prizes are boosted in size.

In total, over 203,000 players in Ireland won prizes. The odds against winning are normally 140 million to one, tonight the odds are just seven million to one.

The player in the United Kingdom matched all five main numbers - 07, 10, 15, 44, 49 - and the two lucky stars - 03, 12 - in Tuesday's draw.

Friday's National Lottery EuroMillions winning numbers were 06, 09, 35, 41 and 44, and the winning EuroMillions Lucky Star numbers were 06 and 09.

The lucky victor matched all of the winning numbers to claim the €190 million jackpot (£169 million).
