The pregnant mum broke her silence on Friday (Australian time) over what really happened in a phone call she made to Coleen, after the wife of Wayne Rooney attempted to out her in an explosive rant that revealed how she had hatched an intricate plot to find out who was leaking her private social media posts.
Vardy, the wife of Leicester City striker Jamie, furiously denies any wrongdoing and said she has hired a cyber security expert to clear her name.
Rooney said she "came up with an idea" - she blocked everyone, apart from an Instagram page belonging to Vardy, from seeing her Instagram stories and over the "past five months I have posted a series of false stories to see if they made their way into the newspaper". "It was not an easy phone call. She said she liked me then hung me out to dry in public". The entire world hates me!'.
"She spent months compiling this and knows she isn't wrong about the account which saw the stories", an insider said of Rooney's social media investigation.
Vardy has vowed to track down the mole who leaked stories from Coleen's Instagram as she continues to insist she's the victim in the affair that's rocked Britain.
Coleen believes this is proof that the fellow WAG allegedly sold stories about her private life.More news: Former South African president Zuma to face corruption trial

Several other celebs have been quick to get involved, with Danielle Lloyd responding to Coleen's original Insta post with three rat emojis and comedian Shappi Khorsandi - who appeared on I'm A Celeb in the same year as Rebekah - hinted that she was also #teamcoleen by tweeting "BaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhARGHGHGHGHGHGH!"
"Becky will tell all about the row but will protect the real culprit because she's aware what she's been through and knows how horrendous it feels to be attacked and vindicated online".
Coleen's bombshell Twitter post has resulted in a number of twisted trolls targeting Rebekah, who is pregnant. 'I have been told that I should die, that my children should die, my unborn child should die.
The stories included one about gender selection, which was published on August 15, one about her plans to return to TV, which was published on September 28 and another about her basement flooding from 14 hours ago, which has been taken down.
According to it, Coleen Rooney and her husband, Wayne Rooney had headed to Mexico to look for a way to have a daughter, where the controversial treatment is legal. Or is she saying it is Rebekah's account?
A spokesman for Coleen said: 'It is irrefutable that the leaks came from one account, and one account only'.
