True to its words, the company has launched the Reno Ace, a smartphone with the world's fastest fast charging technology, in China. Meet the Reno Ace, the first smartphone packing a blazing-fast 65W charging rate.
Oppo's phone is a beast in the power stakes too, delivering a Snapdragon 855 Plus chipset, 8GB or 12GB of RAM, and 128GB or 256GB of UFS 3.0 storage. Alongside those features, Oppo is also debuting the fastest charging solution on the market with SuperVOOC 2.0.
The OPPO Reno Ace is made out of metal and glass, and it features four cameras on the back. Indeed, it seems that OPPO is positioning the Reno Ace as a gaming phone, with its 90Hz AMOLED display, 135Hz touch sampling rate, and something OPPO is calling GameBoost 2.0, which aims to stabilize frame rates in-game.More news: Robert Forster, Oscar nominee for 'Jackie Brown,' dies at 78

The Reno Ace flaunts a gradient-finish design language found on most of the smartphones these days and comes in two color options: Blue and Violet.
Processor wise the OPPO Reno2 Z and Reno Z use the MediaTek Helio P90, Storage increases to 256GB and the much-missed microSD slot returns supporting an additional 256GB. The main lens has 48-megapixels and an f/1.7 aperture, and it's joined by an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens, a 13-megapixel long-focus lens, and a 2-megapixel monochrome lens that will be used for portrait shots. Other notable features include a 3.5mm headphone jack, NFC and dual-frequency Global Positioning System.
All in all, the Reno Ace sounds like a flagship device in most respects, but those charging capabilities might help it stand out from the crowd. The Oppo K5 is priced at 1,899 Yuan in China for the 6GB of RAM and 128GB storage while the 8GB of RAM and 128GB storage version costs 2,099 Yuan. It will be made available to the public starting October 17. OPPO will also offer a Mobile Suit Gundam Edition of the Reno Ace with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage for 3,599 yuan ($505).
