MSI Launches their Alpha 15 Gaming Laptop This Month

AMD IS COMING for the mid-range graphics card arena once more with the reveal of the Radeon RX 5500 series, Team Red's second wave of Navi-based GPUs. This series stands slightly below the previously launched RX 5700 XT and RX 5700 GPUs.

Set to compete with Nvidia's GeForce GTX 1650, the Radeon RX 5500 is based off the same 7nm Radeon DNA (RDNA) architecture as its older kin, and it will come in two variants: discrete desktop cards (dubbed "Radeon RX 5500"), and laptop-based mobile chips ("RX 5500M").

The AMD Radeon RX 5500 series was built from the ground up to deliver incredible 1080p gaming, high-fidelity visuals and ultra-responsive gameplay.

"For mobile gaming, a laptop configured with the Radeon RX 5500M GPU provides up to 30 percent faster performance on average than the competition, and delivers up to 60-plus FPS in select AAA titles and up to 90-plus FPS in select esports games". Price-wise, MSI will be releasing it into the market for a cool RM 4,799. "Whether fighting the Calypso twins in Borderlands 3 or battling to take back Auroa in Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Breakpoint, the Radeon RX 5500 series allows every gamer to feel fully immersed and lose themselves in these attractive and complex worlds".
