The sixth playable character has been announced for the upcoming Marvel's Avengers and it's the redoubtable Ms. Marvel. In an interview with Comicbook.com, Crystal Dynamics' senior brand director Rich Briggs talked about how much time you might spend with Tony and the gang, with Briggs comparing it to the Tomb Raider (2013) and giving the ballpark length of around 30 hours "if you want to see everything there is".

The reveal trailer was also released at NYCC, showing off Kamala Khan with her true powers in Marvel's Avengers.

"Kamala believes the Avengers were framed and she will do anything it takes to prove that people with powers deserve a place in this world, including her", narrative designer Hannah MacCleod said to GamesRadar.

Kamala Khan is a fairly new character in the Marvel Universe, with her first comic series being published only in 2014.

"Kamala is an inspired and perfectly fitting choice to join the ranks of, and reassemble, Earth's Mightiest Heroes", says Bill Rosemann, VP of Creative at Marvel Games.

The game will see the player controlling Ms. Marvel, who has polymorphic abilities and advanced healing, five years after the events. Co-created by G. Willow Wilson, Adrian Alphona, Sana Amanat, and Stephen Wacker, in the comics, Kamala is an enthusiastic teenager who defends her hometown Jersey City as the costumed Ms. Marvel.

Sandra Saad was introduced as the voice actor for Kamala Khan, and came out on stage during the panel to speak about her personal connection to the fictional superhero.

Marvel's Avengers will launch on Might 15, 2020. "Kamala allows us to imagine what we ourselves would do if we suddenly discovered we had superpowers and got to stand alongside our heroes in their time of greatest need".

In combat, Ms Marvel can be an absolute powerhouse as she stretches out of danger and snaps back with cartoonishly large fists and boots.
