You can pre-load Call of Duty: Modern Warfare's PS4 beta tomorrow


The weekend is the first of two beta sessions, with this one being exclusive to PlayStation 4 users.

It's unclear what players will be able to access during the beta, but we're certain they'll be able to play the 2v2 Gunfight mode and the 6v6 standard multiplayer more.

PS4 owners: If you're a PS4 owner, regardless of whether or not you pre-ordered the game, you can resume and continue to play the Open Beta free for the entire Weekend 2 period (both the Early Access and Open periods).

The second Beta test weekend will begin Thursday, September 19 and will be available to players on Xbox One, PC and PlayStation 4. "Prior to a new title launching, our driver team is working up until the last minute to ensure every performance tweak and bug fix is included for the best gameplay on day-1", Nvidia explains. September 19-20 are restricted to "early access" players who placed a pre-order on Xbox One or PC via, while September 21-23 are open to all players. It will detect digital pre-orders, but for those who physically pre-ordered the game, an email will be sent to you with a code to redeem on the Store.

To pre-load the game, players must find the Modern Warfare Open Beta on the PlayStation Store and download it.

Modes available to those who participate in the Modern Warfare Beta include the previously previewed 2v2 Gunfight mode and the more traditionally CoD six versus six squad combat, plus a firefight mode with even larger player counts.
