Overwatch Comes To Switch Next Month

Want to know where you watch the September 2019 Nintendo Direct? The Direct will include more info about Luigi's Mansion 3, Pokemon Sword & Shield, and, presumably, other games during its 40-minute runtime.

Kotaku confirmed with multiple sources that the Switch edition of Overwatch is likely going to be released on October 15. One of the most overlooked games in the Nintendo 64's library, this title has been highly requested for a re-release for almost 20 years now.

Amazon let the cat out of the bag a little early in late September by listing an officially licensed Overwatch case for the Nintendo Switch.

It looks pretty nailed down now that Overwatch is making its debut on the console next month.

A new Nintendo Direct presentation is coming tomorrow.

If rumours are to be believed - and they often aren't - then we might see some more character announcements for Smash Bros. Any upcoming Switch games you're excited for?

The multiplayer shooter was originally released for Windows, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4.

It's unclear what kind of performance and graphical hits Overwatch will take on the Switch's less powerful hardware. Of course, we can expect some new reveals as well, but what those are outside of Overwatch are ultimately anyone's guess.

The scheduled broadcast will be streamed on the game developer's Twitch, YouTube, and Twitter channels at 3 p.m. PT/6 p.m. ET. What are you hoping to see?
