Capcom Drops Trailer For Resident Evil Project Resistance Team-Based Spinoff Game

Project Resistance is the newest zombie survival game from Capcom. This may not be like those Resident Evil titles though, as with the last couple of Resident Evil games Capcom has seemed to have found their groove again. Turns out everyone was right. It's been years since Resident Evil Outbreak File #2 was released in 2004, but the newly announced Resident Evil Project Resistance is putting out a lot of vibes that have us thinking of it as Outbreak 3. Come to the booth's stage to see members of the development team show off gameplay! You can check out the full trailer today as well as learn a bit more about the game. The new game is looking to fit an online survival multiplayer type where four players meet and try to survive either as long as possible or different environments. We see a familiar face and glowing red eyes before it's revealed that the gauntlets are controlling the huge Mr. There is a mysterious character watching them and releasing zombies and lickers to attack the characters as they progress through the facility. The franchise has sold over 91 million players worldwide, making it Capcom's best-selling series to date, with Resident Evil 5 the most commercially successful entry in the franchise to date. I live in hope that Project Resistance is something similarly unfamiliar.

Longtime Valve fans will immediately make some parallels to the likes of Left 4 Dead. The situation in the video certainly appears like a four-player horde-like situation, and one of the character's jackets looks like it could be a Raccoon University jacket, a location featured in Resident Evil Outbreak.

Whether or not the sport is definitely known as Venture Resistance, or if that's only a codename, isn't clear however Capcom are promising a correct reveal on the Tokyo Sport Present, which begins on Thursday, 12 September.

Project Resistance will be available in the near future for Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
