Acer Swift 5 ultra-thin laptop with Discrete Graphics

Acer has now officially refreshed it's Swift lineup of laptops at the ongoing IFA 2019 event in Berlin. Acer promises up to 12.5 hours of battery life for both.

Acer Swift 5 is a lightweight notebook and its chassis is built with the combination of magnesium-lithium and magnesium-aluminum alloys. The laptop is 14.95 mm thick and weighs 990 grams. Aside from the integrated Intel Iris Plus graphics, the laptop can also be obtained with NVIDIA GeForce MX 250 discrete graphics.

The Predator Triton 500 boasts an impressive 15.6-inch FHD display with fast refresh rates and a design with an 81 percent screen-to-body ratio due to the small, narrow bezels around the screen.

Depending on respective markets, the new Swift 5 will generally be available within this quarter for United States dollars 899.99 (~RM 3,774) onwards. This feature allows the user to login via fingerprint reader for easy and more secure access. It's available with up to 512GB PCIe Gen 3x4 SSD storage. It also supports fast charging with which you can get 4 hours of video playback with 30 minutes of charge.

"We're continuously challenging ourselves on how we can make the world's lightest 14-inch notebook even better", said James Lin, General Manager, Notebooks, IT Product Business, Acer. Acer offers its own suite of color enhancement technologies such as Acer Color Intelligence and Acer ExaColor for life-like colors.

The New Acer Swift 5 Still Weights Under 1kg; Features 10th Gen Intel Core and NVIDIA GeForce MX 250

Taiwanese electronics and PC maker Acer today launched two upgraded variants of its popular Acer Swift and Aspire all-in-one desktop ranges.

The weight of the Swift 5 (2019) listed above includes the added NVIDIA GPU. Storage options include either a 2TB M.2 NVMe SSD and up to a 2TB 2.5 inch HDD.

The new Acer Swift 5 weighs no more than 990 grams, and comes in at just 14.95mm thin - two of the reasons why Acer is calling it the "lightest 14-inch notebook" now available.

Privacy is safeguarded with the option to close the camera shutterwhen the webcam is not in use and an HDMI-out port offers the option for a second screen. As Acer looks into the future, it is focused on enabling a world where hardware, software and services will infuse with one another to open up new possibilities for consumers and businesses alike.
