The 64MP sensor, which was announced back in May, was already previously teased by Redmi, Xiaomi's budget-focused spin-off phone business, to be on one of its future devices - this joint announcement just makes that super clear.
This week, Xiaomi announced it's launching the Mi Mix 3 5G, a Xiaomi phone sporting a high-end Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 eight-core processor, 6GB RAM, and 128GB storage.
The thing to note is that now Xiaomi has only made a small announcement about the white variants of the Redmi Note 7 series and its pre-order, and there are no pointers about the pricing of the phone.
Now, Samsung has partnered with Xiaomi to get a little insane with the megapixel count.
As far as the 64MP camera phone is concerned, we're expecting it to be of the Galaxy A series and should be officially announced between September and October.More news: Luxury fashion brands apologize over China T-shirt blunders

Xiaomi is reportedly working on a new smartphone with a brand new 108MP ISOCELL CMOS image sensor from Samsung.
According to the company, the GW1 sensor uses ISOCELL Plus technology to create a pixel-to-pixel barrier to reduce light interference between pixels and consequently improve colour reproduction.
The Redmi Note 7S was launched in India last May and shortly after the Note 7 and Note 7 Pro were released. "If somebody wants to buy a phone, there would be one person in the group who will always give advice on which is the best phone to buy and why, and these are the people who are Mi fans". They have not revealed any more details about the first smartphone that they will launch with this 100MP sensor.
Xiaomi's 100MP camera phone is a mystery, even though the company mentioned it in a Weibo post on Tuesday. The "Future of Camera" is definitely bright. We will have to wait to see how this turns out.
