Realme 5 Series India Launch Set for August 20


Now today, online marketplace Flipkart has teased that the Realme 5 series smartphones will be launched in India on 20th August.

Flipkart has also released a teaser of the 5-series, which shows the smartphone's back panel, it has quad-camera setup and LED flash. While the details of these new phones remain under wraps as of now, what we do know is that these new phones will be part of the Realme 5 Series.

Realme 5 with four cameras to launch on August 20 in India. The phone will be Flipkart exclusive when it goes on sale and the e-commerce site has a page up for the Realme 5. The Realme 3 and 3 Pro smartphones featured dual rear cameras. Recently, the company has also launched the Realme X Master Edition, Onion and Garlic Variants, designed by Naoto Fukasawa in India for Rs 19,999.

The second camera is for taking ultra-wide-angle shots with 119-degree Field-of-view. Then there will be an ultra-wide sensor, a SuperMacro lens for closeup shots and one for taking Portrait shots, which will be the Depth sensor.

According to the company, the upcoming primary image sensors on Realme 5 and Realme 5 Pro will be able to capture some breathtaking low-light pictures. Born as Oppo's sub-brand Realme has made the announcement of the launch date on Twitter.

The sensors will come with a larger aperture and pixel size, helping the Realme 5 smartphones to offer top-notch imaging technology. What is also yet unknown are details regarding the facing camera.

With all this being said, it is understood that the Realme 5 would be the cheaper version of the Realme 5 Pro and with that, it will also cut down on some of the features of the phone as well.

During the Camera Innovation Event, Realme confirmed that it would launch three new smartphones with a quad-camera setup before Diwali 2019. The Realme 5 is expected to continue to the company's run and is likely to set new a benchmark in mid-tier smartphone photography.
