Actor Danny Trejo used "superpowers" to help rescue a young child trapped in an overturned auto, proving that the Machete star is a real-life superhero.
"I just feel great that the Lord put me right there in that spot to do what I did that's all", Trejo told CBS Los Angeles. CNN reported that Trejo at first tried to crawl through one of the vehicle's broken windows but was unable to unhook the seat belt holding the child seat.
"I helped rescue a baby after driver ran red light, causing 2-car crash in Sylmar", Trejo caption an instagram video showing him detail his role in the rescue.
Danny Trejo has become a real-life hero.
"I couldn't get the baby out", Trejo said. Thankfully, a fellow bystander, Monica Jackson, was able to free the belt from the other side, and they were able to save the baby. "He got it. Superpowers", said Trejo on a clip featured on Fox and Friends. "I kept facing him away from the accident". The other citizen who helped, a young woman, crawled in the other side of the vehicle and was able to get the child free, ABC7 reports, then Trejo was able to pull the child from the auto.

Jackson said the driver "was hurting, but all she said was, 'get my baby, get my baby'".
"If he wasn't wearing his auto seat, I think he would have died", he said.
Although three people were taken to the hospital, no one suffered any life-threatening injuries.
At some point, the boy, who was holding on to Trejo amid the chaotic scene, used the actor's cutoff shirt to wipe off his nose, Trejo said. Director Andrei Konchalovsky liked Trejo's work and made a decision to offer him a small role in the film as a boxer.
Trejo happened to be in the area when the cars collided.
