Key To The City Stolen From U.S

Police responded to The Ritz-Carlton located at 900 West Olympic Boulevard about 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, Los Angeles Police Department Officer Tony Im told KTLA.

Allie Long's celebratory day as a world champion ended on the opposite note as her Los Angeles hotel room was burglarized after the 2019 ESPY Awards.

The U.S. women's national soccer team accepts the award for best team at the ESPY Awards on Wednesday, July 10, 2019, at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles. Her wedding ring, cash, and the symbolic key to New York City presented to her by Mayor Bill de Blasio just hours earlier were all missing.

USA women's national team midfielder Allie Long gained a gold medal but lost some other precious valuables this week. While the LAPD did not name the victims of the burglary, the department's investigation confirmed that a woman and her husband had left the door to their hotel room unlocked to visit another room on Wednesday, July 10 at around 9:00 p.m.

In the post, she asked De Blasio if they make copies because she "would love a new one".

The keys are the highest honor the city gives, de Blasio said. "So sorry to hear it, Allie", he tweeted. "Don't worry about the key. We got you covered", the mayor's response read.

"Take my ring but not my mans (or medal thank God)", Long wrote on Instagram.

No suspects have been identified and no arrests have been made as of Thursday night, according to the Times.
