Hot Dog Buns Sold at Walmart Recalled in 18 States, Including Texas

Consumption of these products may cause a choking hazard, according to a news release from Flowers Foods.

The buns, various in names, were distributed to retailers in 18 different states.

Recognizable products from Flowers Food are brands such as Great Value, Piggly Wiggly, Publix, Sunbeam, Wonder, and Nature's Own. It has not received any reports of injury or illness due to the recall.

A full list of the products, UPC numbers, "best by" dates and the first three digits of the lot number for the products involved in this recall are available on the FDA website.

They were sold at stores including Aldi, Dollar General, Sam's Club, Target, and Walmart.

The recalled buns may have small pieces of hard plastic in them that occurred during the production process. If you purchased the product, throw it away or return it for a full refund.

That same month, Tyson Foods recalled more than 20,000 pounds of frozen beef patties after two customers found bits of "soft purple plastic".
