Pixel 3 and 3a owners are in luck, plus all those with Chrome-running tablets.
Google today revealed that over 4,000 games companies had applied for access to Stadia via its Stadia.dev site. Users, however, will be able to purchase and manage content from any device running iOS 11 (or higher) or Android M (or higher).
Google has reassured gamers that any titles purchased on its forthcoming streamed gaming platform Stadia will not be lost if a publisher decides to leave. The Mountain View company confirmed that the controller works best with Stadia, but acts as a standard HID controller when plugged in to your phone, tablet or computer via USB. But at present there's no indication as to when iOS users will get access to game streaming features on their devices.More news: Pokemon Sword And Shield Have Exclusive Gym Leaders

Google also mentions that controllers were created to be connected to WiFi for gameplay but they can be hardwired to a PC, tablet, or smartphone via a USB-C cable if the user prefers.
A Stadia Pro subscription will cost $9.99 Dollars / $11.99 CAD / £8.99, and includes streaming up to 4K and access to a growing catalogue of "older" games starting with Destiny 2 and expanding from there, but you'll need to purchase the latest games outright if you want to play them on day one. Google says they'll send a redemption code to the email address associated with the purchase, but you can then redeem it with a different email account. The service will be available in two variants - Stadia Base and Stadia Pro.
At this time, we have no news to share regarding VR support on Stadia. There are a lot of skeptics about the service and how much effort Google will put into it. According to Google, "You can use any personal Google Account when you sign up for Stadia". That makes it easy to buy codes as gifts for friends and family if you're feeling lonely and want to try out the platform's multiplayer titles.
