For reasons unknown, Dr. Mario World is available to download for all mobile devices.While it's easier to download on iOS than Android at the moment, here's how to dive into the latest Nintendo mobile game.
Dr. Mario World was announced awhile back as an upcoming Nintendo mobile game and more recently was dated for July 10th.
Nintendo isn't gonna release a game without a way to make money, and Dr. Mario World is a flawless example of that. For iOS, the game is 192.5 MB, so you won't have to clear too much space to play. You also recruit new characters randomly by spending coins or diamonds, so those of you who have played gacha games will find familiar summoning mechanics here.
We had some early hands-on time with Dr. Mario World and was happy with the simplistic, puzzle gameplay but it suffers from the mobile free-to-play model.
Tapping on the pill rotates it 90 degrees each time, allowing you to change the rotation before placing it. The catch is that you'll need to match up specific capsules with correlating viruses, indicated by colors. Each character has specific skills that can be used to clear out the viruses. Staff up with assistants like Goomba, Koopa Troopa, and Buzzy Beetle to help your doctors out with additional skills.
Downloading Dr. Mario World on Android is a little trickier. However, playing for extended periods without a break will require payment.
You'll be trying to make viruses a thing of the past with Dr. Mario and his familiar friends.
In versus mode, you can turn up the intensity on your virus-busting by challenging others to a one-on-one showdown-without using hearts!
