Boyce starred on the Disney Channel's "Descendants" and "Jessie". But first responders could not revive Cameron and he was declared dead at the scene.

An autopsy was completed on Monday but Los Angeles County Coroner's office medics delayed releasing an official cause of death pending additional tests. His family confirmed that his epilepsy was a factor of his death.

His family revealed Wedesday that Boyce died of a seizure as a result of epilepsy.

Victor Boyce took to Instagram to pay tribute to the actor with a heartwrenching post, in which he describes the "agony" he's feeling in the wake of his son's tragic passing.

"I'm overwhelmed with the love and support our family has received, " he wrote. "I'm following in the footsteps of some really strong men and women who have showed me what it means to give back; it's the greatest way to fulfill yourself". But what I'm holding onto, and what I encourage you to hold onto as well, is the memory of his endless optimism.

Cameron's on screen parents from Grown Ups 1 and 2, Adam Sandler and Salma Hayek, shared heart felt responses to his early passing.
