Cult hero John Cena will appear in the cast of Fast & Furious 9, adding to an impressive list of Hollywood projects. That speculation began in April of 2019, when star Vin Diesel teased that Cena would indeed appear in the film.
"For almost 20 years, the Fast Franchise has entertained fans and created some of the biggest cinematic moments in history", John tweeted on Friday (June 7). The Rock scene in the "Fast" series because The Rock will not be in the 9th movie.

While he's a big addition to the film franchise, one familiar face won't be there. (That number doesn't take into account spin-offs, though, like the upcoming Hobbs and Shaw.) This will be the first Fast movie since 2006's Tokyo Drift that won't be written by longtime writer/producer Chris Morgan. Justin Lin reportedly came up with the story for this entry, and writer Dan Casey (Kin) is tackling the script.
According to Deadline, production starts later this month for a May 22nd, 2020 release.
