Well, at Sunday's Xbox E3 press conference, that's precisely what CD Projekt Red did. After this stunt, though, I'm ashamed to admit that Keanu Reeves' appearance in the game has swayed me: I'm into it.

Both are worth watching, but the latter in particular will likely interest long-time fans: just before the release date was revealed, a compilation of short, intense gameplay snippets were shown.

Of course, as a character in a game like Cyberpunk 2077, people are wondering if it will be possible for players to develop a romantic relationship with the character. And to help hype up the game and the news of its release date, Reeves himself came on stage to deliver the good word. "CD Project Red, a while back, they approached me and asked me to be part of their project".

The trailer is of the cinematic nature, and showcases the male version of protagonist V and plenty of action. It's later in the trailer when Reeves shows up.

"I gotta talk to you about something", Reeves said. Cyberpunk 2077 is due out on April 16, 2020.

Keanu's character uses not only his likeness and voice, but the lad did motion capture for him too.
