Romelu Lukaku makes Man United transfer decision amid Inter interest

Conte reportedly wanted Lukaku when he was Chelsea manager, but the Belgium global moved to United instead.

According to ESPN, the former Chelsea boss wanted him during his time at the Blues and has informed the club's hierarchy to secure his services to lead the side the main target-man, crucial for his tactical philosophy.

"If something happens, you know, I think the teams and my agents have to do the talking".

Lukaku scored 12 goals in the Premier League for Manchester United last season but he was limited to just 22 starts in the top flight under Jose Mourinho and Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Asked after Belgium's 3-0 Euro 2020 qualifying victory over Scotland, whether he expected a hectic summer, Lukaku replied: "Yes, I think so".

"I've already taken a decision about the future but I can't reveal it because I have a contract with Manchester United and because I respect the club".

Lukaku wouldn't be the first Belgium star to leave the Premier League this summer with Eden Hazard having joined Real Madrid from Chelsea.

"I am going to enjoy my holidays with my family now". You know I'm not somebody who likes to talk about my personal relationship with managers, but I'm a Manchester United player. I've already taken my decision.

Robertson will likely get a slightly extended break, so perhaps we won't see him in action in the pre-season friendlies before the Reds head over to the U.S., but to suggest he will miss the start of the new season is massively overstating this injury. "I lost my place and haven't played much".

The other factor in this is that he remains one of the only players United have who they can cash in to get serious money to spend on other areas of the squad where they need to rebuild.
