While Kevin Durant didn't have the impeccable health record that Sherman did before suffering a likely torn right Achilles in Game 5 of the NBA Finals, Durant prides himself on his durability, consistency and health, and had a solid health record for the majority of his career.

The fan sent flowers to the Warriors' offices addressed to Durant with a card.

Durant will still be a coveted free agent should he choose to test the market, however, and while teammate DeMarcus Cousins' Achilles injury cost him millions, Durant's star-power and age should ensure that he still receives max contract offers this offseason.

The basket contained an assortment of carnations and a ribbon reading, 'Canada is sorry KD'.

"Dear KD and Warriors: I can't even believe those dumbass Raptors fans cheered when they saw you were injured". 'I was watching the game and felt frightful.

Despite Durant's injury, the Warriors were still able to bring the series back to Oakland with a 106-105 victory over the Raptors.

It has been speculated for months that Durant could be headed to Madison Square Garden to join the Knicks, and ESPN's Jalen Rose believes that Durant's injury should have no impact on the Knicks' summer plans. "He just told me not to cry".

'And to tell you something about Kevin Durant, Kevin Durant loves to play basketball, and the people that questioned whether he wanted to get back to this team were wrong, ' Myers said. Also, they talk in depth about Durant's achilles diagnosis. Hamzah Moin has raised thousands of dollars through a fundraising campaign to prove to Durant that Toronto Raptors fans truly feel bad about his injury.

Whereas former NBA All-Star Dominique Wilkins managed to successfully return from a torn Achilles in the 1990s, legends such as Kobe Bryant and Patrick Ewing both struggled to recover from the same injury in their 30s and were out of the league soon thereafter.

"Emotionally, it's a little tough for him", Wanda replied.

Durant went down in immediate pain and did not return to the game.
