Cuba Gooding Jr. to turn himself in after groping allegation

Hollywood actor Cuba Gooding Jr was recently accused of touching a woman inappropriately at a NY nightclub near Times Square on Sunday evening.

The woman told police the two got into an argument and she left the club and called 911. The Oscar-winning actor allegedly grabbed a woman's breast while they were socialising at the Magic Hour Rooftop Bar and Lounge.

One-time Academy Award victor Cuba Gooding Jr. has been known more for his partying lifestyle than acting his recent years - as his last notable performances were in both 2016 FX anthology series' The People v. O. J. Simpson: American Crime Story and American Horror Story: Roanoke.

Mr Heller says Gooding Jr will visit the special victims unit leading the investigation before being arraigned.

The woman claimed Gooding Jr. was "highly intoxicated" and the pair had to be separated by security following the grab.

Asked if "there was any groping involved", Gooding said "no, nothing".

Speaking to reporters, Heller said the woman who made the allegation is seen on the video following Gooding around, and at one point, she was asked to leave him alone.

That same year, he was also accused of pushing a female bartender in New Orleans, and a warrant was issued for his arrest. "I believe in the system and will let the process speak for itself". There's a tape that shows what really happened.

The video, posted online shows Cuba at the bar.

The "Boyz In The Hood" actor has continued to deny that the claim is true.

Three years ago, in 2016, Cuba was on the screen again to portray OJ Simpson in the FX series, The People Versus OJ Simpson: American Crime Story.

He won a Supporting Actor Oscar for Jerry Maguire and recently wrapped the feature Life in a Year.
