Amitabh Bachchan's Twitter Account Hacked, Profile Photo Shows Imran Khan

The hackers pinned a tweet saying "We condemn the behaviors of Iceland republic towards Turkish footballers". The tweets have now been deleted from Bachchan's Twitter account and his was bio was changed to a quote by poet Harivansh Rai Bachchan. The tweet reads, "The Indian State, who mercilessly attacks the Muslims fasting in the month of Ramadan, is attacking the Ummah Muhammad in this age!" He's also pretty popular on Twitter and in fact one of the most followed Indian celebrities in India on Twitter.

The profile picture of the actor was replaced with Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan's picture and "Love Pakistan" was added to his Twitter bio. Two different tweets were posted as well, tagging the Pakistan premier along with his photo, saying "Love Pakistan". They even shared an official link of their Instagram page, which is unverified, and wrote, "We are waiting for your support".

A Mumbai Police spokesperson told news agency PTI that its cybercrime unit is investigating the hack.

The Twitter account was seemed to have been restored within half-an-hour.
