Lil Wayne cancels Rolling Loud performance

Just last month the 21-year-old rapper was arrested on drugs and weapons charges leaving Canada.

Miami-Dade officials went on to say that the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms is the lead investigator on the case.

Lil Wayne was set to perform at Rolling Loud Festival Saturday night, but in a series of tweets he revealed to fans that he would be canceling his set after refusing to be checked by festival police upon entering the grounds. "I do not and will not ever settle for being policed to do my job and give you guys a great show". Security and public authorities immediately sprung into action, established it was a false alarm and there was not an active shooter in the festival, and diffused the situation.

The rest of the festival continued without incident, with headline sets from Migos, Cardi B, Travis Scott and Kid Cudi.

He was taken into custody right away for alleged state and federal firearm violations, Roberto Gonzalez with the US Marshals Office of the Southern District of Florida confirmed. Kodak, or Bill K. Kapri, his real name, was taken into custody by the United States Marshals in collaboration with the Miami-Dade police.

Although the incident that prompted his arrest is now not known, he will face both federal and state firearm charges. He is scheduled for an initial appearance at the U.S. Courthouse in Downtown Miami on Monday.
