Additionally, Mitchell, 32, will reportedly not be returning for the upcoming third season of The Chi, now in its second season on Showtime, in which he stars as Brandon Johnson. Mitchell was also involved in an earlier incident while filming The Chi, which had reportedly been resolved.

PEOPLE has attempted to reach Mitchell for comment through his representatives.

Rising star actor Jason Mitchell (The Chi, Straight Outta Compton) is facing a career crisis over allegations of inappropriate behavior.

The site added that "a source with knowledge of the Showtime series" says Boone stressed to the producers at Fox 21 that she could no longer work alongside Mitchell.

Deadline is reporting that the Louisiana born actor has been dropped from his talent agency UTA, his management company Authentic Talent & Literary Management as well as a Netflix film he was cast as the lead in titled Desperados.

Other actresses have also reportedly come forward to file complaints against the actor, including Mitchell's co-stars in Desperado. He's also had roles in the Oscar-nomianted Mudbound, Kong: Skull Island, Kathryn Bigelow's Detroit, and the Fred Armisen and Maya Rudolph dramedy Forever. In light of the seriousness of the allegations, I hear the studio, Fox 21 TV Studios, opted not to pick up Mitchell's option for next season.

Mitchell, who portrayed Eazy-E in Straight Outta Compton, was investigated in 2016 after a woman claimed he bodyslammed her to the ground after she declined his advances.

On the Lena Waithe-created The Chi, Mitchell plays Brandon, a popular young man striving to better himself and open his own restaurant.
