So I was watching the new episode of Arthur and they just confirmed Mr.Ratburn is gay by him having a same sex marriage.
The group of chums grow more anxious when they spy Mr Ratburn having lunch with an uptight woman. Arthur and his friends Buster, Francine, and Muffy think Mr. Ratburn will be marrying a stern woman named Patty (special guest star Jane Lynch, "Glee"), and try to stop the wedding, anxious that their teacher will become even stricter. When Mr. Ratburn walks down the aisle, he is arm in arm with a man.More news: Emery questions decision to host Europa League final in Baku

Later in the episode characters Muffy, Arthur and Buster discussed the wedding and seeing their teacher happy with his new husband.
"Now that Mr. Ratburn is gay I can finally die", one person wrote. One Twitter user questioned PBS Kids's agenda. The episode ends with little fanfare from the kids as Mr. Ratburn's gay wedding barely phases them, as they're more excited about the cake they get to eat.
Arthur aired its first episode in 1996 and is based off the Arthur Adventures book series.
GLAAD even congratulated the teacher. There's still no word on why Arthur and his friends haven't graduated the third grade after 22 years.
