In its effort to deliver full-screen experience without the disturbance of display notch, OPPO has implemented a rather unique looking selfie camera into Reno phones. Did I mention that the pop-up mechanism is so durable, that it is able to withstand up to more than 200000 cycles. Oppo is also teasing VOOC 3.0 fast charging technology, and NFC connectivity.

There are two Reno models - The standard Reno and the Reno 10X Zoom edition.

The phone also features In-display fingerprint sensor.

The standard Reno costs 2,999 yuan ($450) for the 6GB/128GB model, 3,299 yuan ($490) for the 6GB/256GB variant, and 3,599 yuan ($540) for the 8GB/256GB edition.

The high-end variant of the Oppo Reno with 10x zoom is also launched in three different configurations. Instead, the lens is hidden through a insane side-swing pop-up mechanism that opens a wedge on top of the phone, with the camera at its tallest end.

They also come in 128 and 256GB variants with either 6 or 8GB of memory - expect to get 8GB if you buy the 10x Zoom or 5G versions. The slider also houses front flash alongside the camera. "For the camera, the phone has dual rear camera module featuring 48-megapixel with LED flash, 1/2.25" Sony IMX586 sensor, 0.8um pixel size, f/1.7 aperture and 5-megapixel with f/2.4 aperture.

The wedge camera on the front has a 16MP sensor with an aperture of f/2.0 that features AI Wisdom Beauty, HDR, and supports facial recognition.

As expected the phone will arrive in four colours "taken from nature", black night, misty sea green, mist powder (pink) and a nebula purple with the glass finished with a matte finish under the glass giving the colours a softer look.

Over at the back, the Reno 10X edition gets a triple-camera setup. The Reno lineup has two editions - a mid-range Reno and a flagship Reno 10x Zoom Edition.

The phones will run Oppo's ColorOS 6 running on top of Android 9.0 Pie. However, it differs majorly when it comes to rear cameras, display size, SoC, and battery.
