Honor 8S Renders and Specifications Leaked Online Ahead of Launch

The Honor 8S does not feature a rear-facing fingerprint sensor, and the smartphone is most likely to feature FaceUnlock, based on the 5 MP selfie camera to provide added security to the smartphone. It is the company's latest budget phone, which packs a waterdrop style notched display, a MediaTek Helio P35 SoC, a 6-inch HD+ panel, Android 9 Pie OS, and more.

Chinese smartphone maker and Huawei's sub-brand Honor on Monday announced to launch a new "Honor 20 series" globally at a London event on May 21. The expected price range of the phone is to be between 30-40k, while the Honor view 20 might be discontinued upon the launch of the new flagship. Another cryptic clue in the invitation is an equation featuring a series of number fours. Honor will be holding the launch of Honor 20 series on May 21st in London.

Honor 20 series is the successor to the Honor 10 series.

As for the Honor 20 Lite speculation, this suggests the phone will be basically a Huawei P30 Lite with a micro-USB port rather than a USB-C port. "There is no info on the Honor 20 Pro but we expect a bigger display, a bigger battery, and a different camera configuration", reports GizmoChina. There could also be Honor 20 Lie and a 5G phone in the series. A HiSilicon Kirin 980 processor with Mali G76 GPU and 8GB of RAM is expected to power the device. On the back side, the device will feature a triple camera module with a 48 MP primary sensor, a 20 MP super wide-angle lens, and an 8 MP telephoto lens. On the front, we could also see a 32 MP camera and it might come with a display cutout setup.

As for the battery, the Honor 8S is said to be powered by a small 3,020mAh Li-ion battery.

The Honor 20 Lite Malaysian launch is taking place on 17th April 2019.
