Facebook, WhatsApp and Instagram have been down worldwide, including Qatar for last half an hour. Europe, the U.S. and parts of Asia appear to be the worst hit locations.
And as is the case with every outage, social media users flocked to Twitter to check if the platforms were truly down, or it was a problem with the internet connection. As per the outage map, most reports have come in from Europe.
Facebook users found their news feeds refusing to refresh while those trying to reach the main Facebook.com domain found it unavailable.

Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp, all of which are owned by Facebook, are experiencing technical issues affected millions of people around the world.
One of the users joked tweeting, "Here we go again".
Some media outlets had branded the outage - which also affected Instagram as well as Messenger - as the biggest in Facebook's history.
