Epic Games Hires Infinity Ward and Respawn co-founder, Jason West


"From what I hear West, who lives in North Carolina, has been in the office for about a month", Geoff Keighley wrote in his tweet.

Today it was revealed that Jason West, the co-founder of Infinity Ward and Respawn Entertainment, has been hired by Epic Games. West prevously served as CTO of inifity Ward before he later founded Respawn Entertainment with Vince Zampella. The first is that West has not worked in the games industry for around six years. West left Respawn back in 2013 to focus on his family but maybe re-entering the gaming industry once again.

At Infinity Ward, West had a hands-on role through most of the Call of Duty series, including the WWII-themed originals and the first two Modern Warfare games, which helped to redefine modern shooters.

Epic Games is known for their poaching skills, getting even the best of developers to become exclusive to their DRM.
