Bernie Sanders Confirms He's Now a Millionaire

Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.), all people have to do is write a bestselling book - and just like him, they, too, can become millionaires practically overnight.

Pressure has mounted on Sanders again, now that congressional Democrats have pushed for the release of six years of returns by Trump. I suppose if you want to make yourself look a little bit more lovely, work on that nose or your ears, they can do that.

Sanders' hesitancy to release his returns, especially as numerous other candidates have been transparent, has prompted some Trumpian comparisons.

The democratic socialist, who is leading the declared 2020 Democratic presidential candidates in early polling, said he would release his tax returns on Monday, April 15, better known as Tax Day.

"If you want cosmetic surgery-under Medicare for all, we cover all basic health care need-I suppose if you want to make yourself look a little bit more attractive, work on that nose or your ears, they can do that", Sanders said.

But, he predicted, his would be tiresome in comparison to the president's.

"Not being a billionaire, not having investments in Saudi Arabia, wherever he has investments, all over the world, mine will be a little bit more boring", Sanders added, referring to the president's finances.

Reminded that he is a millionaire, he did not shirk from the description. He trails only former Vice President Joe Biden, who has yet to officially decide on his candidacy. Kirsten Gillibrand (D., N.Y.) and Amy Klobuchar (D., Minn.), and Sen. Senators Elizabeth Warren of MA and Kirsten Gillibrand of NY have both released a decade of their own returns.

The lawmaker also owns three homes; he bought one of them in 2016 for $575,000.

In January, Sanders was a top choice of 23%, and Biden was pick of 32%; Warren had 15% support of those voters at that time. His 2017 Senate financial disclosure forms have revealed earnings of around $1.06 million in that year.
