Kennedy spoke with EW, where she confirmed Bob Iger's recent comments that Star Wars movie will take a hiatus following Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, "We're going to take a hiatus for a couple of years".

"We needed to cut away to the villains, for one thing, which was something I never allowed us to do on Uncharted". The time period would also receive its own MMO in Star Wars: The Old Republic. The industry's changing all the time, she said, "and I'm glad for Respawn's sake, because I'm excited about their game, and I've heard great things about it".

What EA desperately needs is someone they can trust to get the story and gameplay right at launch, and without the need of post-launch patches to fix problems.

He later recalled conversations he had with Star Wars creator George Lucas regarding Palpatine's fate. She would add, "I think this is a huge opportunity to step into the galaxy in a little bit different part of the timeline".
