Hazard has always been a target for Real, who see the Belgium worldwide as a far more realistic option than signing Neymar or Kylian Mbappe from PSG.

Asked if Zidane's return to Madrid makes Hazard's exit this summer more likely, Sarri replied: "You have to ask Hazard, I think". And the concern about the Belgian's future has crept into the training ground, with one Chelsea star declaring his worry.

And the return of his idol, Zinedine Zidane, to the Bernabeu hot seat has only increased rumours of an impending transfer.

Chelsea manager, Maurizio Sarri, has said the club will not keep Eden Hazard against his will.

And Willian confirmed it affects Chelsea players when Jorginho, who is yet to record a Premier League assist, is criticised by fans.

"He (Hazard) shows every day how important he is", Emerson told Sky Sports. "Obviously we have many players of quality in our team but he is on another level, and is one of the best in the world", he added.

If Hazard is to leave in the summer, Chelsea will be desperate he helps them secure qualification for next season's Champions League in his last few months.

"I think it's a sad situation for English football if we lose a prestigious talent like that, because he is a very talented player and I don't think Real Madrid and Barcelona are bigger clubs than the English clubs anymore". The Belgian forward has admitted his admiration for Zinedine Zidane in the past, while also claiming that it is his dream to play for Los Blancos.
