Facebook Messenger DOWN: WhatsApp rival NOT WORKING as users report issues

The last time Facebook went down was November 20 - and it took Instagram with it then as well.

Facebook has acknowledged that its family of apps is going through troubles and promises to resolve the issue ASAP.

While some are reporting slower loading times or the inability to send messages, some are saying they can't login to the site at all or use the app. It also said the outage is not related to a DDoS attack.

Instagram and Facebook are experiencing at least partial outages around the world.

If you tried to post to Facebook or Instagram today and got error messages, you were not alone.

The website Down Detector showed a surge in complaints today with users in Europe, the U.S. and Asia among the worst-hit. Many people report a similar problem in which they can see their timelines but cannot make posts.
