On March 25th, Apple will hold a special event called "It's Show Time" where the tech giant is rumored to unveil new services and products.
The company has placed an event invitation on its website with the tagline "It's showtime", leading many to speculate that it refers to the company's upcoming TV streamer, for which the company has ordered titles from the likes of Reese Witherspoon and Steven Spielberg.
Apple has sent an event invite for March 25th (10am PT, 5pm GMT), where it's expected to launch its highly-rumoured, long-awaited video streaming service. The new service will give Apple device owners free access to the company's new original content, and it will also come with a Channels system that allows users to subscribe to platforms like HBO via an additional subscription. Apple's App Store, where the service is likely to be distributed, is now available in more than 100 countries.
Apple says it's “show time” on March 25 for its streaming TV reveal event
Apple acquired the digital magazine app Texture a year ago, which enables you to read a huge number of publications for a single monthly fee, a bit like a music streaming service.
The potential sales from a television service have become a focus of investors after Apple in January reported the first-ever dip in iPhone sales during the key holiday shopping period and said it would lower iPhone prices in some markets to account for foreign exchange rates.
For many months, Apple has been quietly signing up actors, directors and producers for TV programs. "But Apple is smart to not limit the places people can consume their services".More news: Malaysia: Vietnamese Woman to Stand Trial in Kim Killing
