Watch Angel Di Maria scream 'f*** off' at Manchester United fans

Di Maria did his part to silence the boo-boys by providing the assist for Presnel Kimpembe's opener from a corner before laying one on a plate for Kylian Mbappe in PSG's 2-0 win in the first leg of the Champions League last-16 tie.

Former Red Devil Di Maria wasn't exactly given the warmest reception upon his return to Old Trafford, given his thoroughly underwhelming spell at the club during the 2014/15 season.

He was jeered by the Old Trafford faithful after Ashley Young sent him flying into the advertising hoardings in the first half.

Di Maria's wife Jorgelina Cardoso was quick to get in on the fun.

Manchester United fans responded by pelting Di Maria with water bottle while taking a corner-kick.

"Although VAR was in action last night, Orsato was not able to review this incident as second yellow cards can not be checked".

Sharing a picture of her husband pretending to swig the beer, she captioned the image: "What a nice little gift!"

Di Maria admitting that his issue was with Louis van Gaal isn't the most surprising thing with the Dutchman preferring a more defensive approach whilst he also moved the midfielder around, even playing him as a striker at one point.

"I'm very happy. It's always risky with him, with corners, and of course a superb assist for the second goal in the open position and with a ideal pass for Kylian".

But despite being the most expensive transfer to a British club at the time, he was widely considered a flop.

With Paris Saint Germain travelling to Manchester ahead of their eagerly anticipated UEFA Champions League clash against Manchester United, the boys from Paris arrived in England in style.

"I'm happy that he stayed confident". It wasn't the best period of my career, or they didn't let me have my best time there. The return leg will be played in March at the Parc des Princes, with PSG firmly in the drivers' seat to qualify for the quarterfinal.
