Microsoft Studios rebrands as Xbox Game Studios as company focuses beyond consoles

According to the head of Microsoft Studios Matt Booty, Microsoft Studios is now rebranded as Xbox Game Studios.

Microsoft Game Studios, the organization that has historically handled all of Microsoft's first-party game developers, has been rebranded as Xbox Game Studios. The decision comes after Microsoft investing millions into acquiring new game studios to add to its portfolio. All future first-party games will be there day one and over the a year ago especially, Microsoft has been working on bringing bigger third-party games to the service.
