Kanye West signature forged in $900k scam

Kanye West is reportedly the victim of a signature forgery scandal.

West's wife, Kim Kardashian tweeted on Wednesday that her husband would not be performing at any fashion show this season and this was just a rumour.

Kanye West making an appearance at an event for New York Fashion Week makes ideal sense, but designer Philipp Plein was reportedly duped out of $750,000 after he was lead to believe he was booking the rapper to do just that. The hip-hop entertainer has shut down buzz about maliciously forging Kanye West's name to secure almost $1 million in a deal with designer Philipp Plein.

TMZ reports that the guy involved is "a former friend" of the singer's and a one-time associate of G.O.O.D. He claims Kanye was aware of the pending contract, but when it became clear Ye wasn't going to perform ... he let Plein know the deal was off. Malik claims he didn't touch a dime of Plein's money and even sent it back to him. Plein reportedly fell for the scam and made a deal with the faux rep for $900,000.

The contract stipulated that Plein would pay $500,000 to the Donda Social Program Foundation, a charity Kanye used to have that was named after his late mother.

While Kanye may be working on becoming a different person this year, specifically one that's less politically-controversial after news broke that he'll officially retire that ill-received MAGA hat, we doubt Mr.

A source told Page Six that Plein is now "desperately trying to book acts" for Monday's show.
