"Six of Beamdog's fan-favorite games will be released on console platforms for the first time ever via Skybound all as Enhanced Editions sold at retail stores and online." stated Sally Jacka in a blog post on Skybound's website.

Five classic PC RPGs with recent remasters will be coming to Switch in 2019. Skybound Games was selected as the team to finish The Walking Dead after Telltale Games shuttered their doors. Anyway, the list is as follows: Baldur's Gate, Baldur's Gate II, Baldur's Gate: Siege of Dragonspear, Icewind Dale, Planescape: Torment, and Neverwinter Nights.

With enhanced visuals, added content and reworked user interfaces, it is these versions of those games that Beamdog, through the publishing arm of Skybound Games, will be releasing on PS4 sometime later this year. "Skybound's accomplishments are fantastic and they have a demonstrated love and respect for creators".

If you would like the chance to check these games out in person, the Skybound Games booth at PAX East in Boston - taking place from 28th to 31st March, will be displaying a number of them to coincide with its first anniversary. While console gamers were typically enjoying the latest grand adventures from Japan, those with personal computers were diving deep into the traditional western Dungeons & Dragons fantasy worlds of Baldur's Gate, Neverwinter Nights, and more.

What's more, Skybound Games says that we'll be hearing much more about the enhancements in the coming months.
