Rams run past Cowboys, into NFC title

As insurance, Los Angeles made the decision to sign veteran C.J.

The Cowboys are headed to Los Angeles to take on the Rams Saturday night in the NFC Divisional Round.

Rookie Michael Gallup wound up having a breakout game for Dallas across the way from Cooper, catching six passes for 119 yards and a score. "They were able to run consistently throughout the game". The Rams answered with the game's next 20 points as touchdowns by Anderson and Gurley gave Los Angeles a 23-7 lead in the third quarter.

With a 10-6 record, the Dallas Cowboys finished the 2018 regular season as the top team in the NFC East, squeaking ahead of the defending Super Bowl champion Philadelphia Eagles. Quarterback Jared Goff, who has 4,688 yards with 32 touchdowns for the year, will lead the Rams' offense.

While there was plenty of action during the NFC divisional round matchup between the Cowboys and the Rams - there was nearly a comeback led by quarterback Dak Prescott - there were a few postgame highlights as well. The NFL's leading rusher Ezekiel Elliott was held to just 47 yards on 20 carries.

The Cowboys started a potential game-tying drive late in the third quarter, but Elliott was stopped on fourth down from the Rams' 35-yard line on the first play of the fourth quarter.

"Even when we were in three-receiver sets they were in base, so they were committed to stopping our running game", Garrett said.
