Logan Paul is back in the headlines.

It's been a year since Logan Paul faced a barrage of criticism for posting footage of himself by a dead body in Japan's well-known "suicide forest" Aokigahara.

The 23-year-old made the statement on his podcast, ImPaulsive, alongside his co-host Mike Majlak and their guest, Kelvin Peña.

As he shared on his Impaulsive podcast on Wednesday, he and co-host Mike Majlak are now vegan and sober.

"January is sober vegan January", Paul added.

"Then March - what is it, male-only March?" "We're going to attempt to go gay for just one month", which in turn, elicits an excited grin, a few grunts, words, but little insight in return.

Whether Paul is being serious or is trying his hand at comedy, members of the LGBTQ community and allies are not thrilled. "It's so easy for anyone to be like, 'Logan Paul just ended his career, he's done.' But the only person who will ever decide whether that's true is me". The controversial YouTuber recently revealed plans to "go gay for just one month".

"Logan Paul doesn't deserve fame, or money".

However, much of the YouTube community has been outraged by Logan's comments, with LGBT vlogger Daniel Preda writing: 'Logan Paul joking about being gay "for one month" while countless LGBT+ around the world are killed & committing suicide for their sexuality, is disgusting. "He continues to be an bad representation of the YouTube community and shows he truly has learned NOTHING over the a year ago".

GLAAD also took issue with Paul's comment, writing on Twitter on Friday: "That's not how it works".

Logan Paul has since apologised, retweeting GLAAD and saying: "very poor choice of words ... my fault".
