Inter Milan striker Icardi wants wife to continue working as his agent

But Icardi has now spoken for himself, insisting his wife was right when she said no contract would be signed with Inter until a concrete offer has been made.

It was reported earlier in the week that Inter had asked Icardi to change agents after the club had reached an impasse with Nara regarding Icardi's new contract.

Icardi's terms do not expire until 2021 but the Inter star has been linked with a move to Real Madrid and Manchester United after his agent and wife Wanda Nara reiterated the Argentina global is nowhere near a renewal.

Icardi's contract includes a €110m release clause that becomes active for a two-week time frame, running from 1st July until 15th July.

"Icardi's renewal with Inter is a very long way off as things stand today", Nara told AS. So far, we have not received a satisfactory offer from Inter.

"Only after that can we talk about my renewal with truth, while putting aside the lies that have been spread".

"Furthermore, I'd like to point out that I am very, very happy and satisfied with the work we've done so far".

"It's not logical for Mauro to renew on the same salary that he receives now".

Nara has hinted the west Londoners are interested in signing Inter's talisman and that he's also on Barcelona and Real Madrid's radars.

We have a very good relationship with the two biggest clubs in Spain who, are very interested in Mauro, as well as one in France and one in England.

Los Blancos have been reportedly searching for a new player to fill the void that Cristiano Ronaldo left.

Alvaro Morata is the man likely to be sacrificed for any potential incomings at Chelsea, with the misfiring forward linked with Sevilla as well as Diego Simeone's Atletico Madrid according to Goal.com.

Former Inter Milan striker Adriano revealed that he would love to have played alongside Icardi.
