Browns reportedly gave Mike McCarthy an ultimatum to be their head coach

The Cleveland Browns are making some moves on Wednesday.

Kitchens began the season as assistant head coach/running backs coach but was elevated to offensive coordinator when head coach Hue Jackson and offensive coordinator Todd Haley were fired at midseason.

The hires mean that only the Jets, Dolphins and Bengals remain in the hunt for their next head coach. He took over the Browns offense when coordinator Todd Haley was sacked an hour after coach Hue Jackson's dismissal on October 29 and Kitchens quickly showed he had coaching chops.

McCarthy is now reportedly focused on the New York Jets' job, telling other teams that it's the only job he'll consider.

Fangio is a first-time head coach at age 60.

Joseph comes off his second season with Denver that saw the Broncos finish at 6-10 after a 5-11 season in 2017. It also seems likely that Fangio will call the defensive plays in at least his first year, with whomever he names as defensive coordinator getting the title in name only.

Elway, who turns 59 this summer, and Fangio, who turns 61 in August, will make up one of the oldest coach-GM duos in the National Football League in 2019.

Recently-fired Denver Broncos head coach Vance Joseph is meeting with the Arizona Cardinals on Thursday as the team searches for a defensive coordinator under head coach Kliff Kingsbury, reports NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

Gase followed coach John Fox to Chicago in 2015 to be the Bears' offensive co-ordinator.

'Tis the season to get hired!
