Written and directed by Aditya Dhar and produced by Ronnie Screwvala, the film is based on the surgical strikes that took place after the URI attack when several unarmed Indian soldiers were martyred. On September 18, 2016, 19 Indian soldiers were killed in an early morning attack by Pakistani terrorists at the 12 Infantry Brigade headquarters in Uri.
