Twitter Outraged Over Article Labelling Priyanka Chopra 'Global Scam Artist'

A piece carried by New York Magazine's The cut, titled "Is Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas' Love for Real?' drew severe backlash from celebrities and netizens on Wednesday for its sexist and racist content".

Among them were Priyanka's brother-in-law, DNCE's lead singer, Joe Jonas and sister-in-law, Game of Thrones star, Sophie Turner.

ABC drama "Quantico" star Priyanka Chopra and United States singer Nick Jonas just got married in India, the actress's motherland, after dating for a few months.

When asked to comment on it during an event in Delhi on Wednesday night, Priyanka said, "I don't even want to react or comment". It's not even in my stratosphere. Jonas sent out an angry tweet saying, "This is disgusting".

Taking to Twitter, Joe wrote: "This is disgusting". What Nick & Pri have is Beautiful Love.

If you didn't have a chance to read the piece before it was removed, it can essentially be encapsulated by this snarky viral tidbit: "All Nick [Jonas] wanted was a possible fling with Hollywood's latest It Woman, but instead he wound up staring straight at a life sentence with a global scam artist".

The Cut pulled down the article after receiving flak for it and the editor issued a note apologising for the debacle. We've received dozens of messages from readers expressing their anger.

And now new pictures from the couple's reception after their Christian wedding were just released and Priyanka and Nick look resplendent in it. We want you to know that we hear you and we're sorry. There is no good explanation for this other than human error and poor judgment.
