There's a new Far Cry game coming, and it looks... dusty

Naturally, we watch it every year. What we don't know yet is whether or not this is a full-priced game, or a cheaper (and perhaps sillier) spinoff like Blood Dragon.

Ubisoft is expected to reveal more details at The Game Awards tomorrow, so keep your eyes peeled for that. In order to hype this new FC game, the publisher has released a teaser trailer that you can find below.

Ubisoft has announced that it will reveal the next Far Cry game at the Video Game Awards 2018 later today. However you felt about it, looks like the next Far Cry offering will pick up right where those explosions left off, in a post-apocalyptic wasteland. It's not impossible, I suppose, but given the proximity to Far Cry 5's release, it does seem unlikely. My money's on something similar to Far Cry Primal - a full-scale game, featuring a new setting, that largely reuses the basic map/geography of a previous game.

Plus, it's not hard to imagine an ending to Far Cry 5 where the Elder's Gate cult get their hands on a nuclear bomb, and do the unthinkable.

It definitely looks to be an interesting twist on the series, and we are looking forward to finding out more tomorrow night.

There's no information about the game other than the a brief tease for its appearance during "The Game Awards", not even a name to go by.
